Take our spiritual assessment to start you on your discipleship pathway

The One and Only

We’ve heard the invitation to follow Jesus, discussed how to walk with Him, and explored why being His disciple leads to the best kind of life. In our final week of The Discipleship Pathway, we look at another reason why we should re-prioritize our lives around Jesus – on the basis of who Jesus really is. Join us this weekend as we explore Luke 9:28-36.

Wow – if Jesus was trying to gain disciples you would think He would have offered something more appealing than “deny yourself” and “take up your cross daily.” Didn’t He realize that probably won’t sell among the masses? Couldn’t Jesus have been a little more reasonable – like deny yourself on Sunday mornings, and take up your cross once in a while? Why would we want to follow Jesus if these are His conditions? In this message we’ll explore these questions as we dive into Luke 9:23-24 and continue along the pathway to discipleship.

The Way of the Disciple

Last week Greg challenged us to respond to Jesus‘s invitation to follow him and become a growing disciple. We hope you accepted Jesus‘s invitation. For many of us, the path of discipleship has not always been clear. At times it has felt confusing, overwhelming and even mysterious. This has led to some uncertainty about how Jesus wants you and me to grow. Join Pastor Brian Hopper as he explores this topic.

The Disciple’s Path

We all want a full and purposeful life. So here is a statement to ponder: “The more I grow spiritually, the better my life becomes.” Do you agree? This is true because the more we grow spiritually, the more we become like Jesus. And the more we become like Jesus, the better our lives become. That’s what this series about: How we can grow spiritually as a disciple of Christ. For the last nine months we’ve been working on a Discipleship Pathway. Regardless of where you are on the path, join us this weekend to be encouraged to take the next step toward being a disciple of Jesus.
