“If I am asking questions about faith and who Jesus is, I am likely exploring faith.”
In order to become a passionate, maturing follower of Jesus, I can take steps to understand the gospel and surrender to Jesus.
Meet regularly with someone who follows Jesus.
So often when we have questions about God or faith, the internet becomes our first go to. But with anything online, unless you know the resources, it’s hard to trust what you read or hear. This is why we believe one of the most important things you can do as you are exploring your faith is to meet with someone who is already a follower of Jesus. Certainly we need answers to our questions, but more importantly that getting cold answers, we need someone who can help us understand what it means to follow Jesus.
If you don’t have someone you can meet with regularly, fill out the short form below and we’ll introduce you to a mature believer.
What are the questions you have about faith and Jesus? In the safety of your friendship with a believer, ask what still remains a mystery to you. You may also want to reference the books that are listed at the bottom of this page.
Respond to the Gospel.
One of the areas that you can explore is what impact the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus has not only on this life but the life to come. If you have been meeting with a friend who is a follower of Jesus, ask them to share the Gospel with you. This should be a clear and simple explanation of what it means to have faith and how you begin a new relationship with God through Jesus. Ultimately, you will want to respond to the Gospel. Ask the person you have meeting with to help know how to respond.
