Winter Meltdown

High school students are invited to join us for Winter Meltdown! This all-inclusive winter retreat is held at River Valley Ranch, and is an annual highlight for our high school ministry. In addition to engaging worship and teaching, students will have opportunities to do paintballing, horseback riding, ziplining, archery tag, dodgeball, and more! Registration opens on January 13 and spots are limited. The cost is 175$.

Vertical Weekend

Middle school students are invited to join us for our annual in-house retreat, Vertical Weekend! Students will engage in worship, teaching, and activities at Bay Area, and will spend Friday night at a local BACC host home with their friends and community group leaders. High School Fall Retreat

High school students are invited to join us for our annual High School Fall Retreat on November 2-4! This year we’ll be traveling to Black Rock Retreat Center in Quarryville, PA. We’ll meet at Bay Area at 5:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 2, and we will return in the early afternoon on Sunday, Nov. 4. In addition to worship and teaching, this retreat will include a high ropes course, bonfires, and other group activities. The registration fee includes all transportation, meals, housing, and activity expenses, including a fall retreat shirt. Our annual costume party is happening on Wednesday, October 31 from 6-8:30 pm. We’ll have pumpkin carving, fire pits, fall activities and games, and prizes for the best costumes. Christian College Fair

A Christian College Fair is coming to Bay Area! It is scheduled for Monday, October 1, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Representatives from approximately 30+ of the top Christian colleges & universities in North America will be at the fair. 

The fair will include a Financial Aid Workshop. The Financial Aid Workshop will help families in your church understand why they should consider an education at a Christian institution and what resources are available to them. For that reason, we hope you’ll not only encourage your youth to attend the fair, but invite the parents to participate as well.

Middle School Fall Retreat

Students entering grades 6-8 are invited to join us for our annual Middle School Fall Retreat! This 3-day, 2-night retreat is scheduled for September 14-16, and it will be held at Camp Wabanna in Edgewater, MD. Our 2018 retreat theme is True North, and the weekend will include worship, Biblical teaching and community group time, tons of crazy games and activities, time with friends, bonfires, and some of the best memories from their middle school years. High school students are invited to join us for our annual Block Party event! This year’s block party will be held at Camp Barrett (1 mile past BACC on Chesterfield Rd.) and will include dinner, rec games, a bonfire, swimming, and some prizes. The Block Party is scheduled from 4-7 pm on Sunday, September 9. Students are encouraged to bring new friends and join us for this event. Middle School Family Picnic

Middle school students and their families are invited to join the BASM Staff on Sunday, September 9 from 1-3 pm for a Middle School Family Picnic! The picnic will be held approx. 1 mile from BACC at Camp Barrett (down Chesterfield Rd.) immediately after the last gathering ends. Join us for lunch, swimming, rec sports, and the opportunity to meet the BASM Staff and leaders for this coming year. Big Beach Weekend

Big Beach Weekend

Big Beach Weekend is an overnight summer camp experience for students finishing grades 9-12. For this 3-night, 4-day experience, students will join hundreds of other high school students from the mid-Atlantic region for powerful worship experiences, engaging teaching, and plenty of time to hang out and relax with friends! Weekend activities include paddle boarding, kayaking, indoor swimming pool, time at the beach, sports tournaments, game room and café, and more. The camp is held at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference in Harvey Cedars, NJ.

Registration cost: $325 per students
Registration will open on May 6*

*Please note that this trip fills quickly and space is limited. Spots are reserved based on the date you deposit. Once filled we will maintain a waitlist.

Guppy Gulch Day Trip:

Middle & high school students are invited to join us on Thursday, July 19 for a day trip to Guppy Gulch. Guppy Gulch is a quarry filled with water with huge inflatables for climbing, jumping, racing, and more. We’ll meet at Bay Area at 8:00 am and we’ll return by 7:00 pm. Above All Else

Bay Area Student Ministry is hosting a purity conference on May 19th at Annapolis EP. girls ages 6th grade through college and their Moms are welcome to join us. The Above All Else conference is a combo of local 4 churches and the local Young Life area joining together to begin a conversation on purity and God’s design for sex and dating. Moms and daughters have separate tracks of teaching throughout the day. 
The day is FREE with lunch and a special gift provided. Girls will experience 3 interactive workshops, and a Q&A panel. We have a book table of resources, vendors, and a Christian counseling practice that will be available this day. Cost is free but please register at the link below.

Find Your Leader Scavenger Hunt

High school students are invited to join us for our annual Amplify Scavenger Hunt on Wednesday, May 16! Students will meet at BACC at 6:00 pm, and will be transported to the Annapolis Mall. Students will be given instructions upon arrival, and will be challenged to find all of their leaders -- who won't be easily recognizable! This is a fun, annual event for community groups to do together. Students should eat prior to arriving, or bring a few dollars to purchase something at the mall. This event is free, and students will return to BACC by 8:30 pm.

Middle schoolers are invited to join us for an Amplify movie night on Wednesday, May 16 from 6:00-8:30 pm. We will be showing The Incredibles. All middle school students will be offered a free waffle dinner, and then we'll show the featured movie. The snack shop will be open for students to purchase candy, chips, and drinks for $1 per item.

On May 11, at 5:30 pm, 8th grade students are invited to a dinner at BACC to celebrate the end of their middle school career! BASM would like to take the opportunity to recognize each student and celebrate their time in Middle School. We’ll do a catered dinner, and we’ll provide each student with a small gift. This is intentionally scheduled right before the LAST Club678 of the year (which begins at 7 pm that same evening) so your student can stick around afterwards.

Middle and high school students are invited to join us for our 2018 BASM All-Nighter! We’ll start the evening with activities at the church, including laser tag! Then, we’ll head off-site to Urban Air Trampoline Park, followed by a trip to Dave & Buster’s. Both off-site events will be private events for Bay Area students only. Dave & Buster’s will include unlimited video game play, unlimited bowling, a buffet with unlimited sliders, fries, chicken bites, soft drinks and more, pool tables, and a $20 game card. Vertical Weekend

Middle school students are invited to join us for Vertical Weekend, February 23-24, at BACC! Vertical Weekend is Bay Area Student Ministry’s annual in-house retreat for middle school students. Students will gather at BACC for three sessions from Friday evening to Saturday night. Each session will feature worship, teaching and games. Students will arrive Friday evening at 7:00 pm. After Friday's final session, students will depart in their gender/grade specific groups to BACC host homes (with their community group leaders) in the community. After breakfast on Saturday, students will be brought back to the church by the adult leaders. Students will participate in two sessions on Saturday along with many fun and exciting activities! Lunch and dinner will be provided on Saturday. The event ends at 7:00 pm on Saturday evening.

Middle school students are invited to join us at Skate Zone in Crofton for a night of skating! Students will meet at Skate Zone and will check-in with BASM staff and pay $5 upon arrival. High school and middle school students are invited to join us for Game Day 2018! We’ll be live-streaming the NFL Super Bowl Game, and we’ll have tons of great food, games, activities, giveaway prizes, and more! Students are encouraged to bring a new friend with them to this event. The doors will open at 6:00 pm for a 6:30 pm kick-off time. Students must be picked up within 30 minutes of the game ending. A $5 donation per student is encouraged.

This all-inclusive retreat will feature engaging speakers, worship, and teaching. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the activities that River Valley Ranch offers, including: paintball, broomball, zip-lining, hanging out in the game room, basketball and dodgeball in the indoor gym, and so much more!
