Floor Captain
Pray, encourage, and support your crew during your Sunday morning “sailing time” (Sunday school) throughout the ministry year. Your crew consists of small group captains, 1st mates, and mates.
Small Group Captains
You will guide a small crew of mates (children). You will connect and train these mates each Sunday sailing throughout the ministry year. Each week or every other week.
1st Mates (Helpers)
Support and assist the small group captains and floor captain throughout the ministry year. Set up crews’ sea time crafts, fueling the mates (snacks), restroom breaks, and more. Each week or every other week.
Join the Crew on Deck! (Worship/Drama/Story Team)
Play an active role in our ship’s large group time! Anchors away as we motivate the mates through skits, songs and so much more. We need Captains and 1st Mates aboard. Each week or every other week.
Substitute
Step up and fill in for a crew member unable to be there.
Special Needs Caregiver
Be the loving voice and caregiver for a child with special needs. This person is responsible for overseeing the welfare of the child while they are participating in their classroom among their peers.
Pirates (Security Team)
Secure the decks for safety of the crew and the mates. Assist Captains and 1st Mates with restroom breaks, classroom evacuations, etc. to provide smooth sailing.
Welcome Aboard Crew (Children’s Welcome Team)
Join the fun of welcoming new mates to the boat. Send a note to each mate after their “cruise” for that personal touch, and encourage them to come back and join the us again.
Swab the Deck Crew (Mid-week Prep Team)
This team is instrumental in preparing the classroom activities/curriculum through things like cutting, copying and assembling. This is a periodical commitment, a great choice if you can’t commit to Sunday mornings.
