Submarine Canyon is an environment for your elementary aged child, Kindergarten – 5th grade.  By the time your child reaches fifth grade, we want them to know these three core truths: I need to make a wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, I should treat others the way I want to be treated.  Kids are challenged every Sunday to trust God, make wise choices, and build lasting friendships through small group activities, prayer, worship and interactive Bible messages.

Large Group: Every month we introduce a new virtue. This virtue is an attribute of God that we reinforce during our large group gathering through the use of a monthly memory verse, prayer, worship, and an interactive Bible message.

- Prayer is our way of communicating with God. We practice prayer during our small group times every week. We desire for every child to know they can talk to God anywhere, anytime. We place a special emphasis on prayer during the 4th week of every month. The children complete prayer journals as a way of reflection and application to their lives.

- Offering is bringing to God what is already His. We strive to be “kids helping kids” and our offering projects are geared towards helping other children locally and globally.

Operation Christmas Child: We will offer families an opportunity to come together and collect items for a child in need.  The boxes will be distributed October 30th and are due back by November 20th.  For more information, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Small Groups: These are an integral part of our ministry. Our small group leaders use activities, games, crafts, discussion, and other tools to help children apply the monthly virtue to their lives. These leaders help to encourage and challenge them to live out their faith.

FX: This is an interactive production where our children learn more about navigating their faith. We have engaging worship and dramas to help encourage them to live out their faith. FX is scheduled for the 5th Sundays during the year (October, January, April, July).  Parents are always welcome to attend.

Parent Connect:
We would like to partner with you to make an eternal impact on your child. Here are some of the ways you can encourage your child’s faith at home:

- Submerge – Transitioning to the Submarine Canyon:  Is your child new or transitioning into the Submarine Canyon, BACC’s elementary ministry? This class explores the submarine canyon and the different parenting resources available to encourage you and your child along a faith journey.

- Godtime Cards:
A daily devotional for kids that focuses on the bottom line and Bible story from that previous Sunday.

- CUE Box:
Filled with a DVD, trading cards, posters, and more, the CUE Box is an awesome tool for you and your children to interact at home and learn more about the monthly virtue. You can purchase these each month at the Children’s Welcome desk.

- Parent Cue App: Gives parents a weekly schedule to connect with their kids and talk about faith at home for all smart phone users.  There is a fee associated.

- E-mailable Parent Cue: Informs parents about the virtue, memory verse, Bible story, and give the parent a talking point for meal time.

- Facebook: Find us on Facebook at Kids at Bay Area to get updates on what’s going on in our ministry, helpful links to articles and websites for parents.

Inclement Weather: Did you know that if the church is closed due to inclement weather, you can access a lesson for your children to do at home? Just log on to www.bayareacc.org to print the ready-to-use lesson that morning.
